We're excited to be able to work with FLIR Creative on the redesign of Pellets, Inc. (under development). The new site is gorgeous, easy to navigate, and brings the company's shopping cart system into the cutting edge. (See Pellets, Inc.'s existing site, which has served them well for many years)

A program designed to get people out of their cars and onto bikes, buses, carpools or their own two feet has attracted more than 2,200 participants in its first 5 months.

The Smart Trips program, unveiled July 1, works like this: People who would otherwise drive to or in Whatcom County register at www.whatcomsmarttrips.org.

In an online diary, they record when they travel to a destination without their car, making them eligible for prizes, discounts and three emergency taxi rides home a year, paid for by Whatcom Transportation Authority.

The Web site shows them how many miles they traveled, how much money they saved by not paying for gas and how much pollution they prevented.
